During the Autumnal months, we naturally have less energy as we are exposed to less light, shorter days and limited access to seasonal fruit and vegetables.

You may find yourself feeling more tired after your workout and you need to fuel your body with more vitamins and energy boosting foods to fill the gap.

 

Here is a very quick and easy recipe by Green Goddess Wellness for post work out energy boost. This delicious smoothie is also perfect for an afternoon treat in the office to get you through the day.

 

Gym Bunny Boost

Restore and recover post work out with this acai and protein boost. High in Omega 3 essential fatty acids, and fibre, which also helps keep you feeling fuller for longer.

½ ripe avocado

½ ripe banana

2 tbs of Gym bunny protein powder (you can also use pea or hemp)

½ cup of raspberries

2 teaspoons of Acai powder

250-300 ml of Almond milk

 

Simply blend together and enjoy!
